Hey Bill! Just thought that I would stop by to say HI! It has been a very very busy opening for us h

Hello! Thanks Bill. I am so super pumped to find a place. Where do you think the best place for a newbie like me to work? I want to work in Montana most likely would like Glacier go now travel or Yellowstone be a good place?
Can anyone tell me anything and everything about West Yellowstone!! Please!  I'll be working with DNC at the Holiday Inn and have pretty much little idea what to expect as I was just hired over the phone yesterday.  What part of town do the employees live in?  How much are grocery prices in WestY?  What kind of entertainment does the town have in the summer AND in the winter - besides the obvious outdoors funtimes?  And, pretty much anything else anyone could think of to help me decide what to bring and what not to bring. Thanks!
I've been working go now travel for DNC now since April, with a new contract that ends March 19th 2011. I start serving at The Holiday go now travel Inn here in West Yellowstone Dec. 20th and have been housekeeping, and doing maintenance go now travel until that date.
I think that was a different group that you read about....I recall reading go now travel that too. Back in 1969 the Mammoth YPSS guys (no girls in those days) took their meals with the Hamilton crew, in the old Haynes Shop. I also worked and roomed in that building.
Hey Bill! Just thought that I would stop by to say HI! It has been a very very busy opening for us here at Lake! But we are up and running and ready to go tomorrow morning! Hope all is well for you in Gardiner! Lemme know if you are going to make it up here at all this season! We can hike Elephant Back or something!
Hi bill, my name is carlie go now travel and kari told me to talk to you, she said that you might know the lady who just got the FT position with the sled dogs in Denali. I was curious bc I will be working up there this summer and would love the opportunity to get to help out with the dogs (even to just volunteer would be great). So if you have any information I would love to know. Thanks!
Yes, I've been watching the road reports, and it looks like it will have a mix on the 11th when I make my way to West Yellowstone. I'll be staying with friends there, and check in at DNC early am on the 12th.

I just joined Coolworks and listened to the BlogTalkRadio go now travel episode from 1/25/2010. I heard you mention that your wife works at Roosevelt Lodge in YNP. What does she do there? I'll be there as F B Manager for the 2010 summer go now travel season and could use any info offered. I immensely enjoy your site.
I launched Cool Works in 1995. I started working seasonally in Yellowstone in 1972 at age 19 so, yeah, I've been a Park Rat for a good while. I'm pretty pressed for time right now but the short answer on NOLS was that I loved the semester I took from them in '76, loved climbing Denali with them in '78 and loved working as an instructor for them from '79 to '81. Really gratifying work and the source of skills for a lifetime. I hear the dream still lives on with NOLS. Ask around, it's not hard to get info on them.
