I got engaged in May 2012 and our wedding date is set for next year. In the next year I have to face the inevitable: wedding dress shopping. As excited as I am for the upcoming nuptials, one way car rental companies I had a bit of a realization when I saw our engagement photos. The realization that in the last few years we've been dating, I've 'let myself go' significantly with a fluctuating waistline. It's quite easy to do when you're in love, comfortable and dining out a significant amount. I'm sure some of you reading this can relate. I was officially one way car rental companies stuck in a rut and I wasn't sure how to get out of it. I didn't want my wedding photos to be something I hid under the coffee table, so I knew I had a good amount of time to lose weight safely and have no regrets on my big day.
I started one way car rental companies researching online for solutions, and I came across the ' New Life Hiking Spa ' in Vermont. It promised getting me back on track: connecting with nature one way car rental companies and shifting my mindset to focus on my overall well-being. one way car rental companies I decided to book a week there. I must admit that I was quite scared about the whole process. I kept wondering how I would fare during this strange journey on my own, and if I would actually like the food and be able to keep up with the physically extensive exercising program. I figured the overall result would be worth it – so I attended this past week.
I flew from Toronto to Boston, connecting to a small town in Vermont and then took a shuttle up to Killington. I finally arrived one way car rental companies at the Inn at Six Mountains resort. The cottage-like building gave me a comfort in and of itself. I was assigned my room and given a brief tour by founder Jimmy LeSage. We reflected on my skill ability and helped to diagnose a good solid itinerary while I was there.
A little overwhelming, right? Rest assured, you could pick and choose. Within a day, I quickly realized that the stretching, hiking and an afternoon activity would be sufficient for me. This is also when I started to appreciate the concept of the buddy system that would help push you a little further along the trail or to that one extra class. I was only at the New Life Hiking Spa an hour when I met my first friend - let's call her Susie. We met in the hospitality room scouting out the exercise programs being offered for the day. I was amazed at how open she and everyone else was that I met in my 'new life' journey. The majority of people one way car rental companies there were women, some singles, a few couples, and some that were returning one way car rental companies for another year to meet up with past friends they had met through the program. Demographically, it was a real mixture of folks – although mostly Americans with a sprinkle of Canadians. People ranged from 17 to 70. For some, the expense of attending was a drop in the bucket, and for others it may have taken a year to save up. In general, everyone was striving to get their life back on track – eating healthier, getting fit and just feeling better about themselves.
Eating healthier was a strong focus during the program. Only whole foods were served. There was also a focus on having minimal levels of sugar, fat and salt. All the meals were served in a communal dining experience, with round tables one way car rental companies and a dedicated waitress discussing your options each night. From a high level view, the options for breakfast included a smoothie, rolled oats and/or a scrambled egg with a whole wheat English muffin. For lunch, you could have a hearty homemade soup plus a wrap or mixed salad. For dinner, you could have another salad, meat and vegetables or a vegetarian option. All the foods were prepared onsite one way car rental companies by a chef and the clientele seemed to mostly agree that the food was delicious.
I guess it also didn't hurt that everyone was starving after their hike. The hike was the focal point of each day. Hikes are offered in beginner levels (i.e. nature walks –mostly flat surface), intermediate and advanced levels (for extremely fit clientele). Most people at the resort fell into the intermediate category. The hike leaders were friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely wanted you to get the most of your trip. They would often point out tidbits along the way to help improve upon your hiking level. I was pleasantly surprised with the green rolling hills, gorgeous foliage on the trees and cleansing air around me in this part of Vermont. This was a much different one way car rental companies setting then what I'm accustomed to at home living in downtown Toronto.
After 6 days at the spa, I returned back to Canada with a renewed one way car rental companies sense of self, and a list of new friends that I will be in contact with for years to come. I highly recommend the New Life Hiking Spa - whether it's simply for a jump-start in your life or for a longer term health goal to be accomplished. For the price and value, it can't be beat. Included in your room rate is a daily 3 course meal and dedicated staff to help you stay focused. There is also a massage twice weekly and time to self-reflect and rejuvenate.
