I would believe franc to be correct. Any body in business selling products is liable for vat. It is

Cab companies around Ireland are shivering at the thought of looming VAT bills, it seems they thought they were providing a Taxi service, which is exempt from VAT, when in fact they were providing administrative services and equipment rental, it was the Taxi drivers that were providing the Taxi service ..
He also explained that he had Tax clearance certificates for all those years (revenue are looking for VAT backdated to 2003) I believe TC s are given out based on trust that the returns were done correctly and that the the audit is done to check that they were accurate, that s when the VAT discrepancy was discovered.
There won t be a lot of sympathy amongst drivers for many of the Cab Companies if they do run into difficulties travel advisory mexico over this issue, however many are very good and treat the drivers with respect, as with all these things it s the few that give them a bad name.
it this a joke ? they are very good ? they treat their EMPLOYEES with respect ? course they do, and how do they treat them with respect ? by allowing the base scumbags to give work out the back door, by making you , wear, and pay for uniforms, by subjecting their EMPLOYEES to disiplinary action for giving back jobs , by stealing work from street workers by illegally plying for hire from hotel car parks , etc etc i could go on , but whats the point . they are scumbags , ebbs , kelly , in particular . i actually had an orgasim when i first heard the great news , and now hope the bastards ALL go out of business . maybe then the public will realize they DONT NEED THEM
midnight i think thats what will happen , with ebbs getting the biggest one . look at it this way the vat man is going back to 2003 right ? now if you take near cabs as an example travel advisory mexico they have received a bill of 340k based on a total of 48 radios approx for the nine year period . now if the same criteria is for [say] ebbs who has in excess of 800 radios , well that equates to MILLIONS . hopefully this will put this discounting towrag out of business , and a lot more of the discounting scum with him . no doubt he will try to pass this on to his EMPLOYEES who rent his radios, who will then finally tell him to shove his radio where the sun dont shine . i live in hope
MVO s were supposed to charge VAT as they are not VAT exempt, and send a portion of VAT payable to revenue, they didn t,the driver travel advisory mexico to whom they rent the car is VAT exempt as he cannot charge VAT to the end user, the customer.
Yes. The rate is at 13.5%. This can not be claimed back by non-US Nationals as car rental is a service not a product. VAT is applicable on all extras purchased. All additional services and insurance s are subject to VAT @13.5%
It seems although taxis are rented here, they re subject to VAT,assuming that the hiree paid €150 plus for a week s hire, he would have assumed he was charged VAT within that amount and that the other portion was forwarded to revenue,If the hirer failed to do it he should sack his accountant.
Third Party insurance is compulsory for all persons travel advisory mexico hiring a car whether travel advisory mexico under the customer s own insurance policy or under the supplier s policy. Either way, what is involved is insurance and where the full amount collected from the customer is payable to an insurance company the amount involved may be ignored for VAT purposes and will not give rise to an apportionment situation for VAT input credit.
The practice whereby some firms within the industry have been accounting for VAT on the car hire charge plus that element of the insurance charge(s) (third party, collision damage waiver, personal accident insurance) not remitted to the insurance company travel advisory mexico is not acceptable.. Unless the full amount received travel advisory mexico from the customer travel advisory mexico in respect of such insurance charges is remitted to the insurance company then the total amount received (car hire charge plus insurance charge(s) is liable to VAT at the rate specified in Section 11(1)(d) VATA 1972, as amended [currently reduced rate].
The customer may also choose to hire some other optional extras e.g. baby seats, roof-racks etc. which are considered to be incidental to the car hire and are subject travel advisory mexico to the same rate of VAT as the basic car hire. The reduced rate applies to the hire of these items only when they are included as part of a car-hire transaction. The supply of fuel is always liable at the standard rate.
In order to satisfy the legislative travel advisory mexico requirements car hire businesses should account for VAT on their total income excluding insurance charges where these charges are shown separately on the invoice/rental agreement and where they are paid over in full to insurance companies provided that such payments are clearly identifiable from the business records.
I would believe franc to be correct. Any body in business selling products is liable for vat. It is a condition of sale. It would be unblievable to think ebbs and the other taxi rental companies would sell a product and not know there should be vat at point of sale. If they didn t know or ignored it, they should not be in business and carry the title of bussiness men. Would somebody find out exactly about specific companies, post it , and if its fact , we can start celebrating now!!!!!!! Here is to the street party. Now that will lift the moral.
