Royal Caribbean's "Oasis Of The Seas," the world's most massive luxury cruise liner , dwarfs the second-largest ship, the Queen Mary II, by 50 percent residence inn anaheim at 16 decks high and weighing residence inn anaheim in at 220,000 gross tons.

I have taken 35 cruises and Royal C has been excellent. The Oasis and the Allure are beautiful and we found great service. Clean, great food varity. etc. Going again in Oct. with 16 other cabins of friends. To each their own.
The problem with modern day (US market) residence inn anaheim cruising is that it's marketed to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Pack 'em in, make it look like home (the Grand Atriums and shops), and suck as much money as you can from the passengers. The last major market residence inn anaheim cruise residence inn anaheim we went on was onboard the Oasis of The Seas. It was a complimentary cruise for travel agents and corporate planners, and it took place one month before the ship was placed into commercial residence inn anaheim commission. This wasn't cruising; it was like having a bedroom within walking distance to the mall.
Once onboard, these megaliners all offer one hour seminars in their main theaters to provide "tips" on the best places to shop in the ports of call...and which places to avoid. It's a scam. The cruise lines receive payments from the shops they promote. Before we docked in Cozumel, we were told not to patronize the vendors that are located at the end of the pier. After doing some serious comparative shopping, the pier vendors turned out to have the best prices by far compared to the "recommended" shops.
I'd much rather travel on any on Cunard's residence inn anaheim ships............true modern ocean liners in the legacy of the real liners of the past, not just an overstuffed, top heavy cruise ship. If you want a true legend to be born again, save the SS United States still sitting in a Philadelphia harbor. It still holds the Blue Ribband for the fasted transatlantic crossing to this day. It's a shame that it hasn't been revived as the true legend that it is.
I was on this ship in February and what a horrible time I had. It started from the Captain on down to the people working on it, service is not their thing MONEY is, they don't care if the service is good or not because where are you going to go out in the middle of the ocean. They also act like they are the masters of the universe and threating you with containing you in one of their prision wards. A number of people I spoke with had similar experiences. This was my 15th cruise and I love cruises residence inn anaheim but not on this ship nor will I go on a RC cruise again. I am going in August on antoher line.
You are so right , a cruise Ship so big . What is the point ? Where is the romantic of going to sea ? You can go to Las Vagas stay in one of these maga Hotel and get the same feeling . No , thank you .If you are the Romantic type pf Person , don't sail on a ship this huge , big that is . You are treated just like a Number .......... Next ,please ...........
The wife and I have cruised for years. Kudos to the cruise lines, residence inn anaheim as they've worked hard to reinvent residence inn anaheim themselves and cater to mindless people that think a cruise on Carnival or RC or Princess, residence inn anaheim etc., is something special. It isn't. Raving about "the food" is a joke, and relies on a reputation of cruising that's long gone for these oversized ships. We don't cruise as much as we used to, but when we do, it's Crystal - what cruising used to be.
