With the roster already at full capacity, Orton s contract is basically an invite to training camp.

The Oklahoma City Thunder signed Daniel Orton to a non-guaranteed deal the team announced on Saturday. This is a follow-up to a recent post from the beginning of this offseason s free agent frenzy. Before Oklahoma City s roster had reached the 15-man limit, general manager was considering Orton along with Devin Ebanks and Roger Mason.
With the roster already at full capacity, Orton s contract is basically an invite to training camp. He will have to scratch and claw to crack the roster as he competes with newcomers Hasheem Thabeet and Hollis Thompson. Thabeet is considered to have the best shot of making the squad out of these three. The former second overall pick has not lived up to the hype to this point in his young career, but the Thunder s impressive developmental car rentals in ireland staff may be able to reach some untapped potential. It will likely come down to a battle between Orton and Thompson, and undrafted rookie himself.
Orton entered the NBA draft after his freshman year at the University of Kentucky. Last year, he played with the Orlando Magic, starting 16 games. There is a very small sample size of playing time from Orton, both in the NCAA and NBA. He appeared in 38 games in his only season as a Wildcat, averaging 13.2 MPG, 3.4 PPG, and 3.3 RPG. These are very anemic car rentals in ireland numbers for a player looking to make an impact on the next level.
At this point, Orton should be considered a long shot to make the roster. However, he may have other options at his disposal by staying with the team as part of its D-league roster in order to fine-tune his game without the pressure car rentals in ireland of performing on the biggest stage.
