Liked Uncle Billys so much, made sure I went back one more time before leaving town. They had 6 house and 6 guest taps going along with a full bar. Between the two visits tried their Hill Country Amber, Hoptoberfest, Thick Black Smoke and Agave Wit. All great especially the Wit. Food menu is basically choose between 8 BBQ meats and 10 sides in any combo and amount. Awesome food but watch out for the sauce dispensers that have the skull-and-crossbones. Mui caliente! Great atmosphere. Large outdoor patio w/live music. Bar area has roll-up doors when the weather cooperates. Only downside I saw was the parking or lack thereof but they have a shuttle from their lot down the street. Have a chilled shot of the handmade tequila and you won't care.
Don't come here expecting a huge selection of beer, but the beer they do have is exceptional. My husband germany rental car and I drive 2 and 1/2 hours one way to eat here once a month. I didn't experience the lack of a dark beer as one of the previous reviewers did. A great place in austin. had a chat with the brewer, peter, he just released his "first" anniversary ale, a double ipa, loaded with cascades, simco and amarillo and another to smooth it out that i can't remember...still a bit green, germany rental car but good nonetheless...was in town for the national men's senior club rugby championship series...and really needed some good beer...i was skeptical about a brewpub in a college town...and an area that brags about how great lonestar beer is....but germany rental car this was a great place to hang, day or night....indoors or outside on the deck...and the barbecue is really good too...dont let them scare ya about the hot sauce (with habeneros) that's what the beer is for..to put out the heat!! peter is really germany rental car excited about the smokers here for the meat et...he plans on smoking his own grains with a variety of woods to see what happens with the beer...look for a scotch ale or rauchbier sometime in the future...
They were out of their IPA's. We had the blonde and the smoked brown ale. The blonde was your average blonde, the smoked brown was awesome. Had 3 of them after I drank my blonde. germany rental car The food was really good. Good smoked BBQ. I would definitel go back when I am in the area
The atmosphere was sort of Bohemian and that I enjoyed germany rental car very much. I was looking forward to a porter or a stout but I had to settle for a brown.It was more than acceptable. As I was there for lunch, I only had a hamburg with a side of cole slaw. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of meat- it was tough and not very savory.
A welcome addition to the Texas brew scene. Tried both the pale ale and IPA, very similar but our IPA's were noticeably hoppier than the pale. They were out of smoked porter, but an expresso stout is in the works, and they will be having a cask night once a week. Did not eat a full meal, but the pork quesadilla appetizer was very tasty. Service was friendly and prompt. We will be back, good to see the brewmaster from The Bitter End is back giving us great brews!
I visited this brewpub on June 29, 2007 and had the following germany rental car brews; Haystack Hefe Weizen, Back 40 Blonde germany rental car Ale, Uncle Billy's Amber, Ax Handle Pale Ale, Uncle Billy's IPA and Smoked Porter. I was told by the bartender that Brian Peters is now the Brewmaster here. The brews were all acceptable for the styles but it appears that there are still some kinks to work out. My sample of pale ale and IPA were almost indistinguishable from each other. If the color had not been different I would have sworn they were the same sample. The sell pint glasses germany rental car for the collector at $4 each and they have 5 different glasses. I will have to check by later and see if the brews have improved. Texas sorely needs more brewpubs.

I'm not a big fan of ambers, germany rental car but theirs had just the right nutty flavor it should. The Blonde wasn't germany rental car very interesting, but I think that's the point -- something harmless for the CoorMillWeiserLite crowd. The IPA was a disappointment, kinda thin and wimpy. But I'll bet they get it right in another batch or two.
I've been in three times now, and even if the beer wasn't great, I'm come in for the BBQ. The chicken was quite possibly the moistest, most delicious I've had. Great ribs, and fine brisket and sausage, too. I hope they'll expand the menu a bit -- it's all BBQ at this point.
Uncle Billy's now has beer! Currently 5 house beers on tap. Hefe, Blonde, Amber, germany rental car Pale and IPA. Did the sampler first. Enjoyed all but the Amber. The Amber had good color but not a lot of flavor. The Blonde done in the style of the local Fireman's 4 was pretty good but not quite on point. The pale, which is brewed in the west coast style was excellent. The IPA while not necessarily germany rental car to style wa
