Miller might be on to something though. Los Angeles, may be 6th in hiring demand, but it has the 3rd

NBC recently reported on a Los Angeles tech company , Cornerstone On Demand, that is aggressively hiring. They've hired 100 employees cruises to hawaii since February and continue to heavily advertise jobs. Cornerstone on Demand CEO, Adam Miller says some of the best tech jobs are in Los Angeles and 61% of LA business service jobs are in tech-related fields, according to Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation. Could LA give the Silicon Valley a run for its employees by becoming the new Californian tech capital? How does Los Angeles tech hiring demand actually compare to the rest of the state and the US?
Los Angeles isn't a top contender, but they aren't too far away. The Washington, DC metro leads the list of locations with the highest hiring demand with over 21,000 job ads posted online, which is more than twice the demand in LA. Los Angeles has the sixth highest demand for tech talent.
Miller might be on to something though. Los Angeles, may be 6th in hiring demand, but it has the 3rd largest cruises to hawaii candidate supply in the US. Only New York and Washington, cruises to hawaii DC metros are larger than LA. Below is a heat map snapshot of job volume, average salary, job candidates, and hiring difficulty level for IT jobs in the LA metro area.
