Romney's return is due in good measure to the success of three previous fundraisers. He last raised




Orange County's Republican las vegas hotel and casinos money tree continues its allure, with Mitt Romney on Monday returning for his fourth las vegas hotel and casinos fundraiser since March. It's being billed as his last California event before the election, as he'll likely be sticking within swing-state lines after leaving.
The event, to be held at Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, is expected to draw more than 1,000 supporters, said Scott Baugh , chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County. That would make it Romney's largest event of the year here.
For those who step up from the $1,000 starting price to $2,500, you'll be rewarded with a genuine Romney lapel pin. Bump it up to $10,000 and you get two tickets to the photo reception, a photo and two tickets to the general reception.

He was also at Newport Beach's Balboa Bay Club for a June 1 fundraiser, where tickets started at $2,500, and was at a private residence in Irvine's Shady Canyon on March 27, where tickets started at $1,000.
The Democratic Party of Orange County will be holding its big annual fundraiser, the Truman las vegas hotel and casinos Awards Dinner, at Disney Grand Californian Hotel, with Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom as the keynote speaker. Tickets start at $150 with sponsor packages ranging from $250 to $20,000.
Honorees include Harry S. Truman Award recipient Sharon Quirk-Silva , who's served on the Fullerton City Council since 2004 she's currently serving her second turn as mayor and is challenging las vegas hotel and casinos Republican Assemblyman Chris Norby 's re-election bid. While Republicans have a minimal 1-point lead among the newly drawn 65th Assembly District's voter registration, Norby clobbered Quirk-Silva in the two-person open primary, 59 percent to 41 percent.
Walking home with the Richard J. O'Neill Lifetime Achievement Award will be lobbyist Christopher Townsend , whose many governmental clients include 16 Orange County cities and the county of Orange. The numerous nonprofits he represents include the Discovery Science Center, the Mission San Juan Capistrano Foundation, the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, Latino Health las vegas hotel and casinos Access, the Great Park Corp., the Tiger Woods Foundation and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
