Sampaguita Roots is the story of Cheryl Socorro a Filipina American who harbors no connection to her




Philippine anchorage bed and breakfasts Ambassador to the United States Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. met with young Filipino-American professionals and students in a reception hosted by the Philippine anchorage bed and breakfasts Center Management anchorage bed and breakfasts Board and the Philippine Consulate General on 10 September 2012.
Most of the young Filipino-Americans present in the reception were candidates to the recently held Filipino American Young Leadership Program (FAYLP) in the Philippines. Fil-Ams Melissa Apuya and JR Calanoc, the two chosen representatives from the San Francisco PhilippineConsulate General's jurisdiction, gave an interesting and motivating presentation on their experience during the program. They likewise presented future endeavors of the pioneering FAYLP group to promote and help give back to their mother country.
The FAYLP is a project initiated by the Ambassador and Mrs. Vicky Cuisia in partnership with Ayala Foundation, Ayala Corporation, Chevron, Phinma Foundation, Philam Life, and the Makati Business Club. Ten candidates were chosen from Filipino-American communities around the United States to participate in the 7 th  Ambassadors, Consuls General, Tourism Directors Tour (ACGTDT) as well as in a 2-day program where they were given the chance to meet with captains of industry, young officials in government and other prominent Filipinos.
Ambassador Cuisia, in his remarks, gave an overview of the positive anchorage bed and breakfasts economic figures of the Philippines and cited the high ratings of President Benigno S. Aquino which boosted the confidence of many businessmen anchorage bed and breakfasts and investors. He then encouraged the second generation Filipino Americans to be actively engaged in political, social and economic undertakings and be involved in initiatives that can contribute to the further development anchorage bed and breakfasts of the Philippines such as the SAVE Act. He also called on them to register and vote during the U.S. Presidential Elections this November and Philippine Senatorial and Party List Representative anchorage bed and breakfasts elections in May 2013.
