That's all well and good, but what about the parking on zebra crossings, on the black/white pavement edgings, on double yellow lines, caribbean vacation travel cruise on corners, on pavements, on both sides of the road leaving insufficient space for other traffic to pass, etc etc etc - and that's just at our local school

A CYPRIOT AND THE WORD WALKING DO NOT GO TOGETHER IN A SENTENCE! this was a post congratulating the Police on getting out and enforcing traffic violations, yet the only thing you can add to it is to have a pop at cypriots, well I can assure you this isnt confined to Cyprus, the UK has one of the worlds highest obesity records, not helped by people driving every where especially parents ferrying their kids here there and every where......do you have anything positive to say about the police operation
Before this thread goes off on one, I remember distinctly caribbean vacation travel cruise parents parking outside schools in the UK, it was a nightmare! Those bloody 4x4's everywhere, and traffic queues, people arguing etc over spaces
One day a lone policeman turned up, and started booking drivers, in one quiet swoop which continued the problems were solved. Plus a kind farmer sold his field to the EA for a fair sum, so a bigger car park could be built which had an in and out for those who needed guidance
It all worked and is still working today, all because of one community caribbean vacation travel cruise policeman who saw the problems and did something about it ( he persuaded the farmer to sell the field as well) anyone caribbean vacation travel cruise now who dares to park in the wrong place will be very sorry.
Strong tactics do work, and old habits can be broken. It just needs the weight of the law behind it. But I will agree with one thing, today's parents are different, we walked to school, my kids went on a minibus, today's parents just drive them. I don't know why it's all changed, it may be heavier traffic, perception of crime, or just easier. But the bottlenecks created are all over the western world and it's someone elses nightmare!

Good thinking from that community bobby, but it didn't work too well at one primary school where I come from. The police booked all the illegally parked mums one morning (the school was on a main route through the town and they frequently caused gridlock) - and then the mums (en masse) descended on the police station and clogged it up all morning querying and quibbling over the tickets.

Yes it is about time they started caribbean vacation travel cruise to enforce the laws not only to the English but also to the locals, And yes I know the English and Parents going to schools are just as bad, You really need to get off your racist high horse, back your claims up with facts.... the people booked in the police action were probably 99% Cypriot, but what the hell lets spew the anti Cyprus bile once more.
