At about 2 p.m. Thursday, the Ada County Sheriff's Office says a man reportedly spotted a cougar near the Hilton Inn in Eagle. Officers were searching the Merrill Park area, however, were unable to find the elusive cat. It's believed to maybe traveling toward Star.
The first sightining came when the Ada County Sheriff's Office says the cougar was spotted in Garden City at about 10 a.m. Tuesday near Expo Idaho. Deputies searched the area, however, they were unable to find the cat.
Back in May, authorities shot and killed a cougar near the Boise State campus along the Boise River. Last month, an adult brown bear was hanging out in the Avimore neighborhood before it was later taken deeper in the woods.
