I am in process of trying to plan cooking/vacation for my daughter and myself in Italy. dollar rent a car promo codes This is our first trip to Italy and I am overwhelmed by all of the information and the beauty! So much so, I'm finding it difficult to make a decision on where to go for this vacation! I think I will save Southern Italy for a second visit so that we can combine it with Greece. I believe we are most interested in the Cinque Terre, Tuscany or Bologna/Parma areas. Does anyone have an opinon on which area might be best for geographical beauty as well as a wonderful school for cooking lessons??
This is a really beautiful part of Italy, right near le Cinque Terre. It has the same colors and beautiful mountains. Don't know if the classes are any good, but they take you to Pama for a cheese dollar rent a car promo codes tour.
It think the same town -- Portovenere -- has other cooking dollar rent a car promo codes classes. It also looks like the chef has classes in Lucca, but I don't think Lucca is as pretty as Portovenere. It's not even as pretty as rest of Tuscany.
dollar rent a car promo codes I just remembered there is a cooking school in Tuscany called Divina Cucina that people I know talked about a lot. I think the woman who runs it is American but has been living in Italy for a really long time. I'm not sure where she does her classes. Most of the pretty dollar rent a car promo codes parts of Tuscany are south of Florence.
Thank you so much! I just went in and started reviewing Cucina Italiana and Chef Paolo Monti. His cooking vacation program sounds magnificant! However, I can't seem to find current information about the program or fees. Everything I saw was from 2007. I just sent them an inquiry. I appreciate your advice and for helping to learn of a new area called Portovenere that I was no familiar with!
The link to the reviews on Tripadvisor are all pretty recent, but they are all about his cooking school in Lucca. I tried to see if I could find any for Portovenere, dollar rent a car promo codes but I can't. You may just have to e-mail.
There is a trip planner who lives around there who used to have something to do with cooking classes, I'm pretty sure. Or she knows where they are. She has a website, and you could ask her what she knows. In the end, even if you end up paying a small fee to have somebody in Italy help you find just what you want, it could be worth it:
Cooking schools are a big investment. There are a lot of cooking schools in Italy, but finding with just the right combination of the experience you want of Italy in terms of landscape and interesting sights nearby and that offers a program you'd be most interested in is like threading a needle. More information is the best way to avoid and expensive disappointment.
I don't get you, janisj. You haven't offered the OP any help and your main function on Fodor's dollar rent a car promo codes as far as I've been able to tell is to jump into threads telling people not to answer posts or calling dollar rent a car promo codes people trolls or ignore "new" posters and only listen to some "Fodorites." I'm not sure people dollar rent a car promo codes trying plan a trip are really worrying about who qualifies as a "Fodorite" and who doesn't.
Elizabeth Minchilli dollar rent a car promo codes writes a LOT about food in Italy, professionally, and gives food tours in Rome. That's a list of cooking schools she recommends, and I would take them seriously. You can most likely find reviews online for the one's you're interested in.
You all have been so wonderful to share your opinons with me! I wrote to Chef Massimo and have received a terrific reply. I'm in the process of trying to learn more about Abruzzo, so that I can determine if this is an area we would like to visit. The school (and the chef!) seem very nice - and they have a great video to view as well! Please keep ideas and suggestions coming!
