Parents and professionals can benefit from attending one of the many autism conferences held throughout the year. The Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI), home of the Interactive Autism Network (IAN), will be hosting its annual conference in October. The theme for the 2008 conference is Autism: Update on Diagnosis and Intervention Through downtown chicago hotels Adolescence.
When autism professionals select the conferences that they will attend, they first look at the availability of continuing education units (CEUs). D, M.D. of the National Institute of Mental Health, Brian Freedman Ph.D from the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), and Kenneth E. Towbin, M.D. from The George Washington University School of Medicine.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for this event. A registration postmark deadline of September 20, 2008 has been set with late registrations being accepted only if the event has not sold out. Prices downtown chicago hotels range from $135.00 for a one-day admission for family members, students and Kennedy Krieger Institute employees to $350.00 for a two-day admission for autism professionals.
