After thrilling U.K. fans this summer at Queen Elizabeth II s Diamond Jubilee concert and the 2012 Olympics opening discount hotel web sites ceremony, Paul McCartney is preparing to get back on the road in the U.S. and Canada soon. The Beatles legend has scheduled four fall shows as part of his ongoing On the Run trek: November 11 in St. Louis; November 14 in Houston; November 25 in Vancouver, Canada; and November 28 in Edmonton, Canada.
The new shows all are taking place in cities that Sir Paul rarely, if ever, has visited on tour. His most recent performance in St. Louis was in 2002, his last concert in Houston took place in 2005, he last played Vancouver discount hotel web sites as a member of The Beatles in 1964 and he has never performed previously in Edmonton. Tickets for the shows go on sale starting September 14.
Meanwhile, McCartney has released a statement about being presented the French Legion of Honor award this coming Saturday. The rock great says, This is such an honor, and jokingly adds, I am looking forward to being in the Foreign Legion and doing my stint in the desert, if I understand my duties correctly! McCartney will receive the prize from France s president, Francois Hollande .
