Three people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The arrests were made on Rosecrans Street near Scott Street, on Harbor Drive near San Diego International Airport, and on Scott Street near Fisherman's Landing.
There were three arrests for battery - a suspect was arrested at Pacific Highway and West Broadway, another was taken into custody near the Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island, and the third was arrested near the Boathouse Restaurant on Harbor nyc bus tours Island. Additionally, a domestic violence arrest occurred at 1 Market Place, near the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
There were two arrests for possession of a controlled substance. One occurred on Laurel Street near India Street, nyc bus tours the other on Kurtz Street near the Spawar Building. Another person was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance on Fenelon Street near the Vagabond Inn.
Five people were arrested for outstanding warrants. The arrests took place at Seaport Village, near Pizza Nova on North Harbor Drive, at Marina Park in Chula Vista, and near the Harbor Island Yacht Club on Harbor Island.
There were six sick/injury calls responded to at San Diego International Airport. Most of these involved minor cuts and scrapes. Two people who fell at the airport were transported to Kaiser Hospital. Harbor Police also rescued a man who had fallen into San Diego Bay near Anthony's Restaurant on North Harbor Drive.
The Harbor Police has a team of canines that are trained to detect explosives or narcotics . The team's assistance is often requested by other law enforcement agencies to search vehicles, buildings or other areas that may contain explosives or narcotics.
This week, the K-9 team assisted with searching a plane at Palomar Airport nyc bus tours in Carlsbad. The plane tested negative for explosives and narcotics. A vehicle was searched along the embarcadero on North Harbor Drive and had negative results for explosives and narcotics. Another vehicle on Nimitz Boulevard tested nyc bus tours positive for narcotics.
The Harbor Police are also trained in marine fire-fighting . This week, officers responded to a vessel fire on Harbor Island. The vessel had burned to the waterline. Officers also assisted with emergency calls related to two land-side fires. A small fire occurred after someone threw a lit cigarette onto woodchips on Kettner nyc bus tours Boulevard, and there was a garage fire at a home near Liberty Station.
Crime reports this week included: a report of graffiti at the recently opened Ruocco Park; an officer was kicked nyc bus tours in the knee by a suspect being transported to Las Colinas Detention Facility; three incidents of property being taken from San Diego International Airport; and a report of property being taken from a hotel room at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
