Terminal discount travel planning 3 is a 14-gate standalone facility located east of McCarran's Terminal 1. It includes its own parking structure, ticketing lobby, baggage claim and security checkpoints, as well as 16 stores and restaurants.
"Relocating some domestic airlines to Terminal 3 will improve our customers' airport experience by enabling us to ease peak-period congestion within Terminal 1's departures roadways, ticketing lobby, discount travel planning baggage claim and passenger pick-up areas," said Randall H. Walker, Clark County Director of Aviation.
"We recognize local travelers have long been accustomed to finding nearly all of McCarran's domestic carriers at Terminal 1, so this will be quite a change, said Walker. That's why it's important to take time to 'Know Before You Go' whether you're flying out, or just picking up a friend or relative at McCarran."
Electronic signs have been placed above each roadway leading discount travel planning into McCarran to inform approaching drivers which airlines are based at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. Likewise, the airport's McCarran.com website was recently redesigned to better emphasize where airport users should look for their respective airlines. Either resource will quickly steer airport users toward their intended terminal.
Travelers who are flying out or arriving on AirTran, Allegiant, American, discount travel planning Delta, Great Lakes, discount travel planning Omni, Southwest and Spirit will continue to use McCarran's Terminal 1. Hawaiian discount travel planning and United will also remain at Terminal 1 until Aug. 22, at which time those two carriers' ticketing and baggage claim services will transition to Terminal 3. All foreign-based airlines now operate from Terminal 3.
