John Badhill Co. catered my wedding a few years back and friends still talk about what a BAD job he did. Thank God I gave him a few recipes from my family to use, because his hors d' oeuvres were bland and boring. Our rehearsal dinner was in his cafe on Broadway. His staff was rude, my steak was tough, and he himself seemed put out when our clergy blackpool hotels uk brought a date. In fact was told there wasn't enough steaks so she would need to order something else. Nice huh! My cake was not at all what we discussed, it was yummy, but ugly. It had the wrong green, was missing a topper, and our initials. Oh, and we did not get a piece wrapped up for our 1 year. As the bride I had to ask him to light the candles and dim the lights. My friends had to ask him to serve drinks and champagne for the toasts. He made us a soft cooler to take home with left overs and they looked like they were thrown into the cooler from 10 feet away: not wrapped blackpool hotels uk up, not even a container inside. Just a soft cooler with a ball of bland, nondescript hors d' oeuvres. The crew was frankly rude and unprofessional. I wasn't going to post anything, but then yesterday blackpool hotels uk a girlfriend told me he had messed up another wedding she just went to, then was rude and hounded the couple for payment. This sounding very familiar so I decided to comment here. Perhaps if I would have sooner, my friend's friend would have used a better caterer. :/ he's lucky he got paid at all.
You will get a better meal at Mc Donalds. blackpool hotels uk Everyone is right Berryhill is in it for the money and to say he is a chef is a very gross understatement. We went there for Sunday brunch and it was miserable. food, service sucked. This guy a blowhard who thinks blackpool hotels uk he places in the chef community. I not a chef and I can prepare better food than that. And get this while people were in line to taste the awful breakfast buffet MR BERRYHILL HIMSELF WALKED INTO THE ROOM AND AT THE TOP OF HIS VOICE YELLED SO LOOK AT ALL THESE HETHENS. Can you imagine anyone so arrogrant. I should have done the wise thing walked him outside and kicked his little ass. Honestly blackpool hotels uk you will be wasting your money if you visit his restaurant. What a joke for a restaurant
The food tasted Like it was microwaved.... and word to the wise.... don't send your food back such as if your steak wasn't cooked the way you wanted it... I have heard from some of the kitchen staff that the owner "John Berryhill" himself will do NASTY (like have you ever seen the movie waiting) things blackpool hotels uk to your food before sending it back out to the table
Guantanamera! What a fun, fabulous, Fiesta of food and entertainment! John Berryhill really knows how to engage a crowd and educate at the same time. The authentic Mexican flavors were out of this world and the tequila tasting was awesome! My favorite was the Chiles En Nogada and the house made Sangria!
We went to Berryhill with some good friends who have lived all over the world. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. We have an incredible time. It was not just an evening out, but an experience. Their comment was that it was best restaurant experiences from around blackpool hotels uk the world. We will certainly be back.
I am a real food lover, and appreciate a place that can live up to their reputation, over and over and over again! Berryhill is the BEST around, and one my my top 3 choices worldwide. Mr Berryhill has been doing it a long time, and it shows.
Being somewhat new to the area I trusted a friend to recommend a restaurant with great food, wine, service and ambiance...Berryhill's delivered on all aspects. We're accustomed to high quality restaurants but have had a difficult time finding one. Please note I didn't say "high end" meaning overpriced, over-furnished, usually blackpool hotels uk average quality, etc...the food was superb, service was excellent (as a former server in fine dining thats saying alot), atmosphere classy but relaxing and last but not least...the experience was outstanding!!! I felt I had to add this review after reading the previous post. I trusted a friend who assured me he was introducing me to one of Boise's best and he nor Berryhill's let me down. Our family and friends look forward to our next evening at Berryhill. P.S. Gotta try the smoked salmon...best ever!
Wow, this place was a joke! The owner is only in it for the money. Trust me, I spoke with Mr. John Berryhill face-to-face on 06-19-08. Get out of B-Town Berryhill $ Company, go rape someone else for their hard earned cash. You have to earn my money! Business Tip: When a big event comes into this small town and they offer tons of guests to your establishment without charging you anything. Don't turn guests away because they didn't purchase anything. One bad experience effects at least ten people, blackpool hotels uk if not more. And that is money in the bank. Best of luck Mr. John Berryhill...
John Berryhill blackpool hotels uk has it all together in his new restaurant downtown. We've been a fan of Berryhill and Co. since it was still in its 8th St. Marketplace location. Even though blackpool hotels uk the scenery at the subsequent Broadway blackpool hotels uk location lacked significantly, the food did not. But now, with the downtown location, it's everything you could hope for in ambiance, quality of food, selection of wine, and great service. Wonderful job, John! Glad to see you leading the pack in the perfect restaurant experience in Treasure Valley.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, planning to spend my 30th anniversary dinner there next January; however, today, two coworkers and I had lunch there. The food's great. But our waiter, after our asking him two times for more water, never got it, and I had to get up and find a waitress and ask her to please fill our glasses. And he never apologized; never seemed to notice. And then he was really blackpool hotels uk slow returning with our bills. Perhaps because his focus was on a table of four purchasing blackpool hotels uk more food/drinks than our plain threesome buying a simple lunch? Well, his lack of concern just lost me and my plans to attend there for a special blackpool hotels uk evening dinner. Ergo: He may have thought our table was not going to be high in tips today at lunch, but he sure lost any future tips of a better dinner meal that I had planned to spend there in January or anytime in the future.
