Family reunion wording needed So this year was the first year my cousin and I threw a family reunion. We used to have these every year and around 20 years ago they stopped. Any way, we had the reunion at a Camp and now we are trying to figure out the wording for next years reunion. Problems:
So we are trying to figure out how to word the invite for next year. Each family weather in los angeles california is responsible for their own drinks and food (we are providing the lunch on Saturday and hotdogs/hamburgers Saturday evening) and they are to pre-pay for their lodging so we are not stuck with receiving phone calls from the camp administers wanting to know where the money is. We want to have the reunion at the same place every year, but are afraid if people did not pay their bills, they will not allow us back. Help we don't want to be rude as it is family, but at the same time, we are not footing the bill for everyone to stay. If you can't afford to stay, then you should have to drive up the day off and leave that evening.

The nearest grocery store is about 20 minutes away, so that is an awesome idea to include information on the grocery information. I left it up to my cousin, since he is closer to said relative. I am pretty sure he was going to mention it to the family member.

I thought there were problems with multiple families not paying. If it is just one, you really should talk with them (or have your cousin if he is closer). Do you know if they are really struggling financially? If so, is it possible to have others make an extra donation each year that can be kept on hand as a helping fund, not only for this family but for others who may come upon hard times. Maybe even do a raffle to raise money.
