During the planning stages of our honeymoon, my husband and I knew we wanted an exotic honeymoon map united kingdom destination.  We knew of places like Hawaii, Mexico and different countries in the Caribbean but when we stumbled upon Bora Bora and we saw how beautiful this place was, it was a no brainer for us.
The day after we got married, we were finally off to the beautiful island of Bora Bora for our honeymoon. In our opinion, we stayed at the most romantic honeymoon resort, the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort .  The resort was absolutely beautiful.  If you want to talk about luxury, this resort would be at the top of the list!  We were escorted to our bungalow map united kingdom by a friendly staff member.  Upon entering, we were surprised to find a glass bottom floor in our bungalow! map united kingdom Watching the tropical fish below our feet each day was such a great experience.
Each morning we woke up to the bright sun urging us to get out of bed and enjoy the day.  The hotel served map united kingdom a breakfast buffet which was very good.  A few days we brought some food back with us and ate off our sundeck overlooking the crystal map united kingdom clear blue water and Mt. Otemanu.
After breakfast, our daily routine included sun bathing on the deck.  The blue sky gave way to the bright and plentiful sun.  Whenever we got too hot, we had easy access into the water.  The dips were refreshing and since my husband likes to play in the water more than I do, he would often swim around the lagoon while I stayed on the deck to read a book.  The seclusion was also nice as we did not have to worry about annoyances such as young kids screaming like we would hear if at a larger hotel pool.
Having the lagoon directly below our room , we couldn't ask for a better setup!  The intimate setting was perfect for us as we could enjoy each other's company while doing our own thing.  This was a great change as our beach vacations normally consist map united kingdom of him playing in the ocean while I stayed up on the beach.  Our conflicting interests made it difficult to enjoy the things we loved while being near each other.
The evenings were so, so, so romantic as we watched the sunset from our private deck!   I've been to a lot of exotic places and have seen many sunsets, map united kingdom but the ones we saw each night in Bora Bora were absolutely stunning!  We opened a new bottle of wine each night and gazed out into the Pacific.
Our stay in an overwater bungalow resort in Bora Bora was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon.  The intimate setting and degree of privacy we had was exactly what we needed.  The butler service was phenomenal and they were always kind and attentive to our needs/requests.  The price to stay at the resort was fairly steep (upwards of $1,000 per night), but it was our honeymoon after all so our costs were justified.  And to be honest, the place was so beautiful I know we do it all over again!
