This was the second time we have rented this place and it was even better than we remembered. Didn't

Lovely Cape style home located in town, short walk or bike ride to the center of town, house is at the end of the street, deck overlooking a large yard and the woods. First floor living room, dining room, family room and kitchen. Second floor 2 bed rooms and full bath.
Winter Harbor is a charming town, there are 2 restaurants, gift shops, library, IGA supermarket, Grindstone Golf Course is just down the road, lobster co/op, Schoodic Point scenic drive is a few miles away , Ferry Service to Bar Harbor is now available, ocean swimming 7 miles away and fresh water swimming 9 miles away. Hammond Hall is a 5 minute walk, during the summer there are weekly events. In early August enjoy the Winter Harbor Lobster Festival. Any questions please contact me!
Playground ( 1 mile) Golf (1 mile) Sailing (1 mile) Movie Theater (23 miles) Restaurant ( 1 mile) Grocery Store (1 mile) Canoeing (7 miles) Miniature Golf (25 miles) Beach (1 mile) Hiking (1 mile) Lake (7 miles) Water Park (25 miles) Bicycling (1 mile) Jet Skiing (1 mile) Winery surfboard travel bags (9 miles) Whale Watching (25 miles) Boating (1 mile) Kayaking (1 mile) Shopping Area (20 miles) Zoo (25 miles) Fishing (1 mile) Ocean (1 mile) Bowling (22 miles)
This cozy, well-kept and well-equipped cottage is perfectly set not too close and not too far from town (interesting surfboard travel bags people, surfboard travel bags interesting sights) and small bay inlets (interesting sights, no people). It sits at the end of a small street, backing into an enormous woods---an added plus not mentioned in the material. The area may be its greatest advantage. There is so much beauty and so much too explored that, like one earlier reviewer, I hesitate to share this secret with the world.
This was the second time we have rented this place and it was even better than we remembered. Didn't have to bring a thing, good grocery store in town, lobster fresh off the boats, a 2 week long art festival going on at the Town Center with a different featured event each evening. But most enjoyable for me was the opportunity for nature---biking, hiking, took the local Ferry to Bar Harbor for the afternoon and saw seals, dolphin, Osprey with young in the nest. You could go out and meet and mingle with nice people from all over or sit on the porch and read a book. To be honest, I want to keep this place a secret!
We chose Maine for our 50th anniversary because it has always been our favorite places. The house we rented in Winter Harbor was one of the nicest places we have stayed so far and there has been plenty. It was clean and very well kept and we would go back.
