This beautiful coastal cottage at 5 Walnut, is a sister cottage to 3 1/2 Walnut St. which is set behind this cottage. Located streetfront, it has views of the beach and ocean from the front porch and living room. Totally redecorated and painted inside and out for 2008, it is quintessential beach cottage. Like it's sister cottage, it is steps to the beach and about 5 blocks to the pier and downtown Old Orchard area. The huge wrap around porch is a perfect place for breakfast and coffee and sunset cocktails or just relaxing while looking at the beach. The cottage is able to sleep 10 if needed since there is a pull out couch in the living room as well as a daybed. Adult and family fun abound in this charming town, restaurants, rides and mini-golf await within walking distance. Miles of beautiful beach right outside your front door! Enjoy.
Old Orchard Beach is in Southern Maine along the beautiful coastline which stretches the length of the state. It is 15 to 20 minutes to Portland, one of the most beautiful cities in the Northeast. It boasts more restaurants per capita than anywhere in the United States. Portland has a beautiful waterfront area filled with restaurants, shops and is home to the beautiful Portland Art Museum. A little farther North is Freeport, the shopping destination of summer visitors with its anchor LL BEAN and a host of other outlets. Old Orchard is full of fun for adults and children. Rides, food, games and mini-golf as well as water slide are all part of the park. Fine dining as well at Joseph's By the Sea and beachside bars abound.

It is CLEAN and CLOSE to everything! An easy walk to the peir or to Ocean Park. We would love to keep it our little secret but its too good not to share!

We enjoyed evenings on the porch watching the waves, home-cooked meals, and cozy movie nights in the front room. And it was easy to get to Portland as well as a nearby amusement park and a 12-screen movie theater.
