I'll be the first to admit that I must be getting old. I was really looking forward to spending the day at Vinoy Park this past Friday, checking out lots of new bands that the Vans Warped Tour had brought through town, picking up some CD's and generally taking in all the sights. Then it started oceanfront hotels in daytona beach florida to rain. The day had barely gotten started oceanfront hotels in daytona beach florida and things were already going downhill.
I figured it didn't seem too bad and that it'd pass through quickly enough as Florida rains usually do. But then it started to come down harder, oceanfront hotels in daytona beach florida and it was then that I felt my age, as in the midst of all the youthful masses and live music, all I could think about was keeping my stuff dry (thank goodness I brought my trusty poncho) and how far I'd have to walk in the rain to get back to my car. I managed to stick it out for about six hours, but when everything started to get muddy and people started playing with the super-soakers, I decided it was time to hit the road. (Digital cameras and mud don't mix well.) The following is a visual account of my short and wet adventure. Hopefully it'll be dryer next time!
