My family and I enjoyed a stay in one of the newest renovated rooms in The Live Oak building. It was absolutely gorgeous, with golden walls and pictures adorning the walls of beach motif. The beds were clean and comfy and we all had plenty of room to stretch out and extra pillows and blankets, too. It was inviting and featured magnificent views of the ocean and the Springmaid Pier. Our balcony also overlooked the lazy river and pools just below our rooms. We enjoyed the breezy evenings looking out and watching the waves crash in to shore. I also want to point out, that I felt it was safe for my young boys as it had a door that locked, so I didn t worry about them trying to go out without my husband and I. My boys have food allergies and we found the resort to be quite accommodating to these needs and each morning at breakfast there were tons of substitutions, so if hot cakes were off limits or eggs, we could eat cereal, fruit, or biscuits. The hospitality of the staff really makes this resort stand out. From the front desk, to housekeeping, each person greets you with a warm and friendly disposition.
This resort offers fun and interactive activities for children. This was a well thought out program incorporating fun beach activities to suit children of all ages. It is engaging as well as hands on. The staff or activities crew, was comprised of four outstanding young ladies, cheap cheap airline ticket Christine, Tammy, April, and Kristen. They played with the children and really engaged in the daily activities. My son is really apprehensive when meeting others and has a hard time connecting mostly due to his Autism diagnosis, but these girls were so sweet to him and brought him out of his shell, so to speak, with their sincere hospitality. They made tie dyed shirts for Indepence Day and he talked to them about his love of Thomas the Train. My little one loved the water games and buckets and was as content playing with them. They have a staff that is intimate enough to get involved with your children for a fun day in the sun! I admire these ladies for their hard work and making all children feel special. It was thrilling and even had my two year old on the edge of his seat. The beauty of the Hawaiian culture shown through with each majestic performance. It was sweet and touching and the hymns, telling a beautiful story through each motion. Springmaid Pier is fun to walk on and watch those around catching fish. We just marveled at the different fish was saw and enjoyed shopping in their gift shop, too.
