Employees from United Airlines based at Newark Liberty International Airport volunteered their time and effort recently at a vacant City-owned lot in Newark s West Ward managed by Greater Newark Conservancy. The site, located at the corner of S. 16th Street and 15th Avenue, is one of several urban tree farm sites to be planted with many native car rental frankfurt germany species which can be replanted in local parks, yards or along city streets and a mini fruit tree orchard.

"Growing our tree canopy is one of the most important ways we can contribute to the long-term well-being of our city.
I was proud, even honored, to be part of something so beneficial to revitalizing the community where I live. It was great to see all of the members of the United family rolling up their sleeves, giving back to the community and showing how we in the Newark team get things done, concluded United volunteer Pharaoh Salomon, a Newark resident.
The Conservancy has embarked on an ambitious urban tree farm program, funded by the Lower Passaic car rental frankfurt germany Cooperating Parties Group, with multiple sites under development throughout the City of Newark. The Lower Passaic Cooperating Parties Group (the Cooperating Parties) comprise 70 responsible car rental frankfurt germany companies working with state and federal agencies, as well as community groups, to bring about a cleaner Passaic River. The Cooperating Parties are working in good faith with various stakeholders, like Greater Newark Conservancy, to help improve the river s condition. The companies share in the belief that there is a brighter future for the river and each entity is doing its part to make that happen.
