What? You never made a mistake in a new car, or a car that you rented ? Cars have different distance

I think he was trying to park BETWEEN the Jag and the Merc and forgot he was not driving a Smart. Bimmers are so nimble that they feel smaller than they actually are. That confuses people who are not too... smart. 3 votes #1.9 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:55 AM EDT Roadkill
panama city florida hotels No, I take that back. My car has had four-- two of them while I was parked and one of those I wasn't even near my car. The guy backed out of the parking space and scraped the side of my car. The other, I was parked in the post office parking lot checking my mail and the guy backed out of his parking spot and broke my tail light.
Who writes this crap? From the headline you would have thought the car was driving itself (parking assist). It was being driven by an idiot and an idiotic thing happened nothing new. #1.17 - Sat Jun 23, 2012 10:02 AM EDT HAPPILY RETIRED
Oh, by the way, when Diners was bought out by the Canadians, you couldn't get gas, using your Diners card at the pump, where you usually panama city florida hotels input your 5 digit zip code. The dumb a**es told me I had to use my 9 digit zip code. Duh... that's only for the USPS use. I told them FedEx,etc. don't use the 9 code. And, the pump says use the 5 digit. She (Diners) had no idea what I was talking about. Took months for them to fix that problem. #3.1 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:08 PM EDT Jeff D-3771612
You cant make a rental company rent you a manual trans. Unless its the ones that heave "specialty" high performance cars. And their only located in uppity-yuppie cities. panama city florida hotels I allready tried! panama city florida hotels No manuals anymore. 1 vote #4.2 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:16 AM EDT Trueism
The Jag actually looks like it held up well for having an SUV on top of it. I know its still probably totaled but that right there looks like a safe car. I would have thought the roof would have been completely caved in.
There may have been something about this rental that tripped up the driver. I know when I get in a car Im not used to I am always trying to get used to my position in the seat, or trying to get used to the feel of the car. So it may have been that the driver made an innocent ( but dangerous ) mistake with this car that they may not have normally made in a car they where used to driving. 7 votes #11 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:12 AM EDT foxhorn72
What? You never made a mistake panama city florida hotels in a new car, or a car that you rented ? Cars have different distances between those peddles. Add to that the fact that it takes time in some cases to find the most comfortable position for the seat, and the possibility that you may be distracted by something as small as having to look more carefully at the dash of a car your not used to. Now you start to understand how a rental might be a trip up for some, especially older drivers.
Rental cars are dumb. The last time I had a rental car, it objected, (by having all sorts of warning sounds go off) when I removed my seat belt while going down the highway at 65 MPH. It should have known that it was a legal maneuver, as I was in New Hampshire. 2 votes #13 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:22 AM EDT Robert Duckworth
That's because men probably shop online way more than women. It takes me about 90 seconds to buy shoes. Men will buy stuff. Women like to go to the store and try on clothes, shoes, accessories..........it's in their DNA. Women just have more practice parking. That's why men excell at operating a TV remote compared to a women attempts at such high end technology. It's in our DNA. Now, be a dear and get me some iced tea, OK pumpkin? 1 vote #15.6 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:30 PM EDT Mickey-2306438

Enterprise and National both have an "elite" (not sure what they call it, though...) class of vehicle which can be rented, and one of the agencies even rents antique cars in certain panama city florida hotels locations, but when I checked into it, the prices were about where I expected - not in a range I would ever pay for a rental, or even a purchase, for that matter... 2 votes #19.1 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:56 AM EDT Robert Duckworth
panama city florida hotels I think it was about 10 years ago or so the Hollywood eliet would show up at functions in "Rent a Wreck"s. POS cars they got rented as a joke. Movie star humor.....eh? panama city florida hotels 1 vote #19.2 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:15 AM EDT John Pflug
Yeah ....Glad to see it was a BMW, Jag and Mercedes....Instead of a Prius, panama city florida hotels Volt and Smart Car......Never mind that there was a person inside .....Hell with all you pompous "rich" people and your status symbols .... 2 votes #25 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:50 AM EDT wsmcke
Yes but, isn't a 3/4 ton dually with a gun rack also a status symbol, just a different sort? And so, if someone works hard, goes to college obtaining an advanced degree, makes a decent living and can eventually panama city florida hotels afford panama city florida hotels a BMW, they should relegate themselves panama city florida hotels to a Smart Car? Just so you don't feel bad? Yep, we should all sell our homes, move into trailers, buy a truck and a hound-dog to ride in the back, because God forbid anything else is pompous.. 2 votes #25.2 - Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:01 PM EDT Joey Niq
