On Tuesday, ONE members teamed up for the fight against car rental tamarindo costa rica extreme poverty with the Vans Warped Tour at the GEXA Energy Pavilion in Dallas. We got there early to set up our ONE booth, car rental tamarindo costa rica and familiarized ourselves with the (2015)QUILT that we would be sharing with concert goers throughout the day.
As the gates opened, we saw a herd of young kids running to catch the shows. I stayed at my booth, signing up new ONE members including a few musicians, too. I was able to meet a member of Yellowcard , and I gave him the rundown on ONE s mission. Dubb Sicks , a punk band out of Austin, came by our table to give a shout out to ONE members and hear about ONE s issues, too.
By about 3:30 p.m., the place was filled and the heat was on. I saw ONE volunteer Elizabeth pulling young kids to the side, giving them water and spraying sun screen on them, so we made our impact in more ways than one.
As the day drew to a close we got the last few quilt patches made, and signed up new volunteers for ONE. It was great to be a part of this hot and still energetic day in the Texas sun, and concert goers did not disappoint with their enthusiasm for joining the fight against extreme poverty.
