Well, I ve made it to Philadelphia today in time for the conference tomorrow. I am looking forward to attending the international affairs committee meeting tomorrow, and I have a handful of other meetings inns or bed and breakfast incolumbia sc to attend this weekend at the Radisson Warwick hotel. I m looking forward to the international affairs meeting because my bachelors is in international relations, and coordinating with and supporting other progressive youth organizations in the different regions of the world is important inns or bed and breakfast incolumbia sc to ensure the credibility of our long-term goals in a global context. These youth organizations around the world need our help, and we need theirs.
On my way here, the interest I felt towards international affairs in the Young Democrats of America was strengthened by a lady I sat next to. She was from Syria where many young people are dying for their right to a free and open society, inns or bed and breakfast incolumbia sc something we take for granted. She told me of the struggle of the young and the old for the soul of Syria. She said they are shelling protestors, and even her family has been killed in the struggle. I didn t know what to say to her. But I know that once the Russians escort President Bashar Al-Assad out of Syria when the global pressure becomes too much there will be young progressive Syrians voicing their opinions in their newly formed government, and once that happens, hopefully, the YDA will find a way to mutually be beneficial to one another.
On a lighter note, I m hoping to get a famous Philly cheesesteak here in Philly. inns or bed and breakfast incolumbia sc I ve uploaded two photos, one of the flight and one of the view from my hotel.
